Kicking Horse River British Columbia - Three Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) workers have been killed in a massive derailment east of Field,
B.C., near the Alberta border.
According to CP, the westbound freight train left the tracks about 01:00, Monday, just outside the town some 200 kilometres west of Calgary, with three crew
members on board suffering fatal injuries.
Aerial video of the scene indicates two locations for the derailed equipment, one next to the Trans-Canada Highway and the other near the upper bridge spanning
the Kicking Horse River between the lower and upper Spiral Tunnels.
