London Ontario - A 24-year-old woman suffered serious injuries at a rail crossing near Richmond Street early Friday
morning.
Police said emergency crews were found the woman near the tracks in the Richmond and Picadilly area at about 03:00, Friday.
She was sent to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation into what exactly took place this morning is still ongoing.
"We would like to remind the public to take precautions when they're around rail tracks," said Constable Sandasha Bough from the London Police
Service.
According to the Operation Lifesaver website, there have been 59 railway and trespassing accidents in 2019 in Ontario.
Over 20 of them were fatal.
