Did you watch CBC's The Fifth Estate television so-called documentary "Runaway Train: Investigating a Fatal CP Rail Crash" last Sunday night.
 
Their supermarket tabloid journalism can best be described as shameful, sentimental, superficial, scandalous, and suspect.
 
One can completely understand the three CP employees relatives, families, and friends frustration at the present lack of explanation for this tragic event.
 
The Fifth Estate's portrayal of their emotion to sell media like a ten cent soap opera is despicable.
 
To suggest criminal negligence and a cover-up without conclusive evidence is tabloid journalism at its best.
 
Railroading is a dangerous occupation.
 
Thousands of tons of steel roll on steel wheels barely connected to two tiny rails with multiple possibilities for mishap.
 
Definitive answers as to the cause of this sorry accident will come when the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) makes public its investigation report, however long it takes.
