Rouleau Saskatchewan - A semi-truck driver is dead after his vehicle collided with a train outside Rouleau Friday
afternoon.
In a news release sent before 14:00 Milestone RCMP said members were on scene of a crash on a grid road on Highway 39, approximately 2 kilometres east of
Rouleau.
The semi-truck had one adult driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
He was declared deceased on scene by EMS.
Police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the CP Police Service.
A Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, Occupational Health and Safety, and the Saskatchewan Coroner's Service also attended the scene.
In the release, police thanked the Rouleau Fire Department and Moose Jaw EMS for their assistance.
Rouleau is approximately 50 kilometres southwest of Regina.
