London Ontario - Commuters using Richmond Street through the downtown will find the main thoroughfare closed until Tuesday evening as CP works to repair the track.
 
Richmond, between Piccadilly and Mill streets, shut down Monday morning to all traffic because emergency rail work was needed to fix a broken rail and to replace damaged crossing surface.
 
The closure is in effect until 18:00, Tuesday.
 
Detour routes for southbound drivers will run onto Oxford Street East, and then Waterloo Street.
 
Northbound motorists will be diverted onto Central Avenue, then Waterloo Street.
 
Cyclists and pedestrians can cross the tracks using Piccadilly Street, Ann Street, or George Street.
