Tank Hill British Columbia - The huge washout located at Tank Hill, milepost 87.1 of Canadian Pacific's Thompson Subdivision, has been temporarily filled-in (a shoofly) permitting the rail line to bypass the girder bridge.

The rail line now crosses the Trans-Canada Highway blocking it completely as you can see in the photograph taken from the highway looking (railway) east at the fill with the girder bridge located behind the fill.

While this gets the trains moving again relatively quickly there still remains a requirement to open the Trans-Canada Highway.

So, which highway will open first, Trans-Canada or Coquihalla?
