North America - Kansas City Southern, Canadian Pacific, GATX Corporation, the Monterrey
Metropolitan Rotary Club, and NASCO yesterday launched a fundraiser to help save the endangered monarch
butterfly.
The "Save the Monarch Butterfly 60,000 Tree Challenge North American Boxcar Tour" will attempt to raise
US$100,000 that will be used to purchase and plant 60,000 oyamel fir trees at El Rosario Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in
Michoacan, Mexico, to help re-establish the monarch population.
