Rodessa Louisiana USA - At least 10 cars of a CPKC train derailed near Rodessa this morning leading
to the closure of State Route 1 while heavy machinery assists in cleanup at the scene.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office reports the derailment occurred about 06:00.
Caddo Fire District 8 responded to the incident and reported that there were no injuries and no hazardous materials
were eleased, according to a Sheriff's Office report on Facebook.
Rodessa, population 270, is about 35 miles north of Shreveport.
It is on CPKC's former Kansas City Southern Shreveport Subdivision.
