Railway Work by Swift Current Closes Section of Trans-Canada Highway

Swift Current Saskatchewan - A small portion of the Trans-Canada Highway west of Swift Current will be closed on Friday for some construction work.
Great Sandhills Railway will replace some rails at the railway crossing about one kilometre west of Highway 32.
The Ministry of Highways will then apply some hot mix paving over the crossing.
According to the Highway Hotline, a detour will be in place and motorists should be prepared to stop.
The work will close both of the westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway.
The construction is expected to take one day, weather permitting.
