V&T Railroad Opens for the Summer Season on 26 May 2018

Virginia City Nevada - A long awaited opening for the Virginia & Truckee Railroad is finally here Saturday, 26 May 2018, at the Virginia City Depot on 165 F Street.
Seven narrated steam and diesel trains will be available for the public to ride through the hills of Comstock, from Virginia City to Gold Hill and back.
The Virginia & Truckee Railroad is the most famous of all American Shortline railroads.
Construction of the railroad began in 1869 and was used to haul millions of dollars in gold and silver ore from the mines deep below Virginia City.
In honor of Memorial Day, Veterans ride FREE, Monday, 28 May 2018.
