CP 2317 crosses the steel girder overpass above Cedar Avenue near the abandoned Lackawanna concrete tower known as the Mattes Street Signal Tower. This tower was constructed in 1911 as part of an extensive system comprised of nearly a hundred towers between Hoboken, New Jersey, and Buffalo, New York. Steamtown has spent two years refurbishing it.
