The first three photos in this group were taken with the camera facing south pointing at the construction area around the north portal of the Gotthard Base Tunnel at Erstfeld. As you can see the tunnel is comprised of two main tubes. The current construction track appears to be meter gauge. The area is fenced off to keep the public out. The photos were taken from a public viewing stand several stories high.
