Three foot gauge 2-8-0 Consolidation locomotive number 30 was built by the Brooks Locomotive Works of Dunkirk, New York, in 1898 and sold to the Colorado & Northwestern Railroad (C&N). In 1909 the engine was obtained by Denver Boulder & Western (DB&W). In 1920 she was sold to the Morse Brothers, a Denver based used locomotive dealer. Bought by the Colorado & Southern (C&S) in 1921 the engine was renumbered 74. She was sold back to the Morse Brothers in 1945. In 1948 the Rio Grande Southern (RGS) obtained her. In 1952 the RGS retired her and she was purchased by the citizens of Boulder, Colorado, and displayed in their Central Park. Repainted in 1978, the loco was cosmetically restored in 2012 and moved to the Colorado Railroad Museum at Golden where it now wears the number 30 once again.
