Llanfair Caereinion Powys Wales United Kingdom - The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway (W&L) has announced that steam locomotive "Superb" will be making a return to the railway for their Steam Gala.
The locomotive will be visiting thanks to the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway (S&K) in Kent and will be visiting for the gala from 30 Aug 2018 to 1 Sep 2018.
The Bagnall 0-6-2T loco was built in 1940 for service at the Bowaters paper mill at Sittingbourne.
The locomotive visited last year for 2017's Steam Gala and will appear alongside sister locomotive "Joan".
A hand pump trolley will also be stationed on the bay platform line at Welshpool Raven Square station.
This is also visiting from the S&K.
The intensive three-day timetable also includes an evening train on Saturday, as well as miniature railways and model trains.
