The Churnet Valley Railway have announced that GWR Manor number 7827 "Lydham Manor" will be visiting the line in February 2019.
The visit is thanks to the Dartmouth Steam Railway in Devon.
This is the first time in preservation that this locomotive has worked passenger services north of Somerset since it first ran in preservation in 1973.
As part of its visit, the Churnet Valley Railway is offering two Top Link Footplate Experience days to the public where you can have the opportunity to drive and fire 7827 Lydham Manor over the 21 mile long Churnet Valley Railway.
The experience will last for 3 hours which will include the opportunity to help prepare or dispose of the locomotive as well as time for pictures at Froghall Station.
You can bring up to 6 guests for your special experience too.
