FOOTNOTES
Stations
named Golden at mile 35.0 and Moberly at mile 42.3 are eliminated effective
6 February 2003.
Mainline track between Vancouver and Calgary is all CTC. Consequently
trains do not run to a published schedule with the exception of the Great
Canadian Railtour Company passenger trains.
A two track grade separation extends between Fraine and Ross Peak. The old
portion using the Connaught Tunnel is named the Connaught Track while the
other, newer, and easier grade through the MacDonald and Shaughnessy
Tunnels is named the MacDonald Track. Westbound trains normally use the
MacDonald Track while the lighter empty trains eastbound use the Connaught
Track. There are always exceptions though. See the track schematic.
The Field switching zone extends from Field to mile 3.0
The Golden switching zone extends from mile 32.0 to mile 38.0
The Revelstoke switching zone extends from Revelstoke to mile 122.0
Canadian Pacific Railway Police 24 hour nation-wide service
1-800-551-2553.
Talking Detector System locations are marked in blue.
WARNING - Expect trains in any
direction at any time.
