The idyllic locomotive shed and workshop at Joseph Arnold's Double Arches yard. Outside, bonnet up, is number 16 (Motor Rail 4709/36), with number 1 (8683/41) and number 24 (4805/34). By this time, the connection with the Leighton Buzzard Railway had been severed and traffic was between quarry and yard. The last trains ran towards the end of 1978.
