A fundraiser has been launched for Derbyshire's beloved Crich's National Tramway Museum.
Bosses say that because the museum has not been able to open to the public during the lockdown, it has been struggling to survive.
Visitors are the main source of income for the museum as it receives no funding from councils.
While it has furloughed as many staff as possible to cut costs, losses this year will be "immense and potentially crippling".
That is why the museum is appealing for the public's help through a fundraiser to keep it going.
General manager Dr Mike Galer said, "We do not know with any certainty when we will be able to re-open and this will need to be on a limited basis, without most of our large income-earning events. There is a possibility that we may not be able to open fully at all during the 2020 season. Our losses this year will be immense and potentially crippling, whilst we are currently surviving on our reserves, many of these have been given to us for specific purposes and cannot be used to support our ongoing viability."
Donators can visit the museum's website to donate by bank transfer or cheque.
Cheques can be sent to the National Tramway Appeal Crich Tramway Village Crich Matlock DE4 5DP made payable to "Tramway Museum Society".
There are also a range of incentives available for people able to give larger donations.
